Happy Purple Day! It was a busy morning at the QEUH as we held a special event to mark this international epilepsy awareness day.We were joined by Epilepsy Nurses, Consultant Neurologists, Epilepsy Scotland and Paediatric Nurses, as well as a Student Nurse from Quarriers, to support the many patients, relatives and carers who came along for advice, practical help – and just a bit of fun.A range of staff, from nurses to receptionists, also attended the event to learn more about areas such as epilepsy first aid and rescue medication, and to pick up information for sharing with patients/relatives in their own area.Thank you to everyone involved for making the day such a success. See you at Purple Day 2027!Find out more: bit.ly/4bBk31J#purpleday #epilepsyawareness #epilepsy See MoreSee Less

It's #SocialPrescribingDay today, an event that promotes the work going on in our healthcare settings and communities to address the practical and social issues that affect people's health and wellbeing. NHSGGC's own Support & Information Centre provides an important system of support and practical help for patients, carers and staff, and today we'd like to acknowledge the work they do for thousands of people every year. Our thanks to every one of you!Find out more about the SIS team: bit.ly/4sxFl7n See MoreSee Less
