Following a recent recruitment process, William Edwards, Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed as Deputy Chief Executive for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. William’s appointment will commence on 1st May 2025.
Welcoming the appointment, Professor Jann Gardner, Chief Executive, said:

This initiative is set to drive comprehensive system-wide reform, and William’s leadership will be instrumental in supporting this transformation.

Furthermore, he will help foster a more collaborative environment that actively listens to and engages with our staff, shaping policies and addressing some of the major challenges facing NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
