Appointment of Deputy Chief Executive, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

Following a recent recruitment process, William Edwards, Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed as Deputy Chief Executive for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. William’s appointment will commence on 1st May 2025.
 
Welcoming the appointment, Professor Jann Gardner, Chief Executive, said:
“I would like to congratulate William on his appointment. His role will be pivotal as we embark on a new chapter with our bold programme, The GGC Way Forward – Transforming Together. This initiative is set to drive comprehensive system-wide reform, and William’s leadership will be instrumental in supporting this transformation.
 
“William will play a crucial part in reinforcing our commitment to working together to deliver the best care possible for our patients. Furthermore, he will help foster a more collaborative environment that actively listens to and engages with our staff, shaping policies and addressing some of the major challenges facing NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
 
“I look forward to working closely with him as we strive to achieve our goals and make a positive impact on our healthcare system.”
