Core Brief - 13 September 2024 (Message from Jane Grant, Chief Executive, 3.45pm)

In this issue Jane talks about: the Scottish Hospitals Inquiry has recently reconvened and is currently hearing from a number of individuals involved; this week we welcomed new non-executive members to the Clyde sector, which included a tour of the Vale of Leven Hospital, Royal Alexandra Hospital, and Inverclyde Royal Hospital; reminds all relevant staff to ensure they undertake the appropriate Sharps training at their earliest convenience; as part of our commitment to embedding equality in everything we do across NHSGGC, the Equality and Human Rights team is currently visiting Acute departments throughout our health service; NHSGGC has taken a significant step towards becoming the first Scottish Health Board to be formally recognised for its work on antimicrobial stewardship and tackling the threat of antibiotic resistance; and feedback from one our RAH patients about Ward 24 and the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery Team.
