Directions
- Pre-Op Assessment Department is situated within the Main Outpatients Department Level C. To access Outpatients enter is via Main Entrance. You should turn right in main entrance, go through the doors and the entrance to the Outpatients department is the first set of doors on the right.
- There are two car parks within the hospital grounds. There is the main car park in front of the hospital with disable parking and the overflow car park. There is no charge for parking within the hospital grounds.
- There are chairs available at the main entrance if required and the porter’s office is located within the front foyer if assistance is required.
- There are buses available from Gourock, Greenock and Port Glasgow that come through the hospital grounds, with the bus stop near the Main Entrance. Patient travelling from Largs are required to travel to Greenock town centre then change buses for IRH.
- There are buses from both ferry terminals in Gourock to Inverclyde Royal Hospital.

- League of Friend tea bar on Level C within the main foyer, Monday – Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm
- RVS shop Level C within main foyer, 8.00am – 7.45pm
- CANTEEN located on (Level B), 8.00am – 11.00am & 12.00 – 2.00pm

- Pre-op assessment is based on the ground floor of the Royal Alexandra Hospital. You will be asked to check in at desk one of the outpatients department.
- There is a main car park on entering the grounds of the hospital. You can park here for up to 4 hours free of charge.
- There are various buses from Paisley town centre which take you into the grounds of the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
- The nearest train station is Canal Street Station in Paisley. This is a short walk away from the hospital and trains run here from Glasgow Central.

- The easiest way to access Pre-Op Assessment Dept is via Main Entrance. You should turn left in main corridor, turn Left at the T junction and the unit is on the right.
- There are various car parks within the hospital grounds with Main Reception in the middle of the hospital. There is no charge for parking within the hospital grounds.
- There is a reception desk at the Main Entrance where a porter with a chair can be contacted if you require assistance.
- There are buses available from Glasgow, Dumbarton, Alexandria and Helensburgh that come through the hospital grounds, with the bus stop near the Main Entrance.
