NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has announced the launch of Spring Coivd-19 booster drop in clinics for those who are eligible.
As part of the continued effort to combat Covid-19, drop in clinics will be available at various locations across Glasgow to those aged 75 and over or for those with a weakened immune system aged 12 or above.
The Covid-19 Spring booster vaccination helps prevent serious illness and offers the best possible protection against the virus.
Iain Kennedy, Consultant in Public Health Medicine, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer drop-in clinics for the Covid-19 Spring booster vaccination.
“This will allow those who are eligible more flexibility on when they can receive their vaccine as no appointment is necessary.
“The vaccine offers crucial protection against Covid-19 and helps prevent serious illness if the virus is contracted. We know that older adults and those with weakened immune systems are at a higher risk of illness and this booster vaccination will help to enhance their protection.”
Individuals who are eligible for the vaccine are encouraged to attend one of the clinics as soon as possible.
Iain added: “Previous drop-in services have been a great success and we would ask those who are eligible to make sure they get vaccinated at the earliest opportunity.
“We would like to assure members of the public that they will be vaccinated safely and efficiently to avoid any long periods of waiting.
“Our staff have been working relentlessly for the duration of the vaccination rollout and I would like to pass on my sincere thanks for their hard work and commitment throughout.”
