NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has celebrated the success of its North Sector staff as this year’s awards recognise those who go that extra mile to deliver outstanding patient care.
The North Sector awards took place on Friday, 10 May at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where various services were highlighted for their dedication and commitment to their healthcare roles.
Five awards were presented to the winners with several worthy nominations submitted for each category.
Neil McCallum, North Sector Director, presented the awards to the winners and shared his appreciation for their outstanding contributions made to NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
He said: “I am immensely proud of the dedication demonstrated by all of our staff and teams within the North Sector and these awards only recognise a small proportion of the extraordinary work that goes on across our sites.
“Our deserved award winners have gone over and above within their services, and I cannot thank them enough for all they do in ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of patient care.
“Our hospitals continue to face pressures and it is great that we are able to highlight the success of our passionate and committed members of staff.
“I would also like to encourage members of staff to submit any nominations for next year’s awards as we are extremely passionate about showcasing the exceptional work that goes on within the North Sector.”
