The number of people being treated for COVID-19 in our hospitals is at an all-time high. We have now announced the locations of our mass community vaccination centres. We will have 15 based in local communities across Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

We continue to be exceptionally busy across all of our sites and services. There are some clear challenges faced by our teams in terms of managing the number of COVID patients being admitted to our hospitals, COVID vaccinations continue to be rolled out across our area at pace and likewise, our staff vaccination programme is moving forward rapidly.

This Core Brief provides an update on the COVID vaccination programme
I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year. We have received a fantastic uptake from staff for the COVID vaccination, with over 26,000 of you having already received the vaccine, or are scheduled to do so. We are also continuing the roll-out of the vaccination programme into our local communities, with GPs commencing the vaccination of members of the public aged 80 and over next week.
