A further two positive cases has been identified through our test and protect service in North East Glasgow.
This brings the total to 16 positive cases. Whilst a number of the cases are pupils at Bannerman High School in Baillieston, there is no indication any transmission has occurred in the school.
None of the cases are causing any clinical concern. The school is open but none of the pupils involved have actually attended as they are self-isolating at home.
Test and protect staff have continued to contact anyone who may be affected and that process is now complete with close contacts being advised to self-isolate and being given appropriate advice.
NHSGGC’s Public Health Protection Unit will continue to monitor the situation and are working closely with the school.
