You can access the service by phoning the office, arriving at the office or asking another worker to make a referral on your behalf (you may have another worker from another service, for example a Social Worker or Health Visitor). A GP, family member or friend can also make referrals for you. Find your local Social Work Office.

ADRS aims to improve the lives of people with problematic alcohol and drugs use in East Dunbartonshire.

You can contact ADRS on 0141 232 8211 (within office hours).

We offer assessment, support and treatment for alcohol and drugs issues by offering person-centred, recovery-focused care
and treatment. We may refer you to other local recovery services when appropriate.

Once we receive a referral, we will offer you an appointment within three weeks to assess your needs and agree a recovery
plan. We can assess you by telephone, online or in person. You are welcome to bring a friend or family member to your
assessment appointment.

Inverclyde Alcohol and Drug Recover Service provides confidential support and advice to anyone affected by drug and/or alcohol addiction within the Inverclyde Community.

Anyone can refer, including:

Self-referral, a family member, carer or friend who is referring on your behalf, your doctor or another health and social care professional

An initial assessment may be done over the phone, with face to face appointments available when required. We work in partnership with other community recovery partners to ensure that the right care, treatment and support is offered at the right time based on assessed need.
Inverclyde ADRS will support individuals to best treat their addiction and ensure that their physical and mental health needs are .

The service offers Naloxone, Injecting Equipment Provision, blood borne virus testing and access to treatment, a range of psychological therapies, community and in-patient alcohol detox and residential recovery based on assessment of needs.

Service for rough sleepers or homeless people in Glasgow.

Link Up provides a 24-hour support and advice service. A residential unit is also available for those in immediate crisis needing social and health care support. No referral is necessary.

North West Glasgow Recovery Communities

Service summary

North West Recovery Communities is a community led partnership of people and services who are passionate about promoting recovery from Alcohol and Drugs. The partnership delivers a range of opportunities for people to be exposed to “Recovery is Possible” through a range of different activities, discussions, groups, drop in sessions and social events that take place in a range of community venues across North West.

These are organised, led and delivered by local people in recovery, their families, supporters and a range of staff from local services who work in partnership with the recovery communities networks. The approach is informed by a Recovery Orientated System of Care (ROSC), a model that values the contributions of all, recognises the vital role of personal and community assets and believes that recovery is achievable for all who seek it.

Service summary

South Community Recovery Network (SCRN) recognises that a person’s lived experience is their best asset and we welcome anybody who has an interest in recovery.

SCRN is a partnership of peer-led, person-centred recovery initiatives, drop-ins and support groups throughout the south sector of Glasgow.

Garscube House is a residential support unit in Glasgow City Centre for adults with a history of alcohol dependence and homelessness who wish to change their lifestyle. The service provides support to people with complex physical, mental health and addiction issues through a programme of complete abstinence from alcohol and drugs.

The facility provides a safe, supportive and structured environment for a maximum of ten residents. The support provided helps residents to explore the underlying reasons for their dependency and encourage them to realise their potential to rebuild their lives.

Adults with a history of alcohol dependence and homelessness who wish to change their lifestyle.

Glasgow South Recovery Hub – Mungo Foundation

Service summary

The Mungo Foundation is a key provider of Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services in the South of Glasgow. We deliver the service from our Recovery Hub in the Gorbals and work with individuals and families at a variety of places and times in local communities.

Services are free, confidential and open to anyone aged 16 or over in the South of Glasgow.

Services Offered

  • Professional, non-judgemental and experienced staff.
  • An assessment of individual needs is made either over the phone, at the nearest service base, in a community venue or at home.
  • After the assessment discussion, allocated recovery worker gets in touch to arrange a first appointment, where your personal recovery plan is started, this is reviewed along the way.
